How Omega Relay works

The device platform carries requests and results between Relay and your computer.

Your files. Your environment.

Tools run on the computer you connected, using its files, signed-in browser and configured programs. Keep it awake, online and running Relay. You do not need to configure an SSH server for the published setup.

Local permissions and assistant grants both apply. Terminal commands run with your normal user permissions.

Understand permission boundaries

A receipt is not a result

Pending: The request has no final result yet. Check the original request.
Completed or failed: Read the returned result or error before deciding what to do next.
Unknown: Do not assume the action never ran. Check the original request rather than repeating it.

Under the hood

Relay runs the website, sign-in, assistant grants, request delivery and results. Omega runs the capabilities on your computer. Requests and results travel between them over an encrypted connection.

Capabilities differ by platform: Mac, Windows and Linux.
